Buttweld Fittings

Buttweld fittings are critical components used in piping systems to change direction, branch off, or connect equipment. These fittings are welded directly to the pipe, creating a strong, leak-proof joint that can withstand high pressure and temperature conditions. Common types include elbows, tees, reducers, and caps. They are widely used in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and water treatment. Buttweld fittings offer a smooth inner surface, reducing pressure drops and turbulence, while also ensuring long-term reliability and corrosion resistance.

  • Available in various angles & radii

Our elbows are available in long radius and short radius designs. Long radius elbows have a center-to-end distance of 1.5 times the nominal pipe size (R=1.5D), ideal for applications requiring smooth flow. Short radius elbows, with a radius equal to the NPS (R=1.0D), are suitable for tight spaces.

We manufacture elbows in standard angles such as 45°, 90°, and 180°, and can also produce custom angle elbows such as 60°, 100°, 120°, or 150°. Custom radius elbows are available in 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D, 5D, 10D, and other configurations as required.

Our fittings are available with different end types – machined for butt welding, threaded (usually female), or socketed. For connections where the two ends differ in size, we offer reducing or reducer elbows.

All elbows are manufactured in accordance with international standards including ASME/ANSI B16.9, ANSI B16.28, and MSS-SP-43. We also offer 100% X-Ray Welded Elbows to ensure high-quality weld integrity.

Equal tees are used when the branch size is the same as the header pipe size, while reducing tees are used when the branch is smaller than the header. The three dimensions of a tee are End x End x Center. For example, a tee that is 1” on both ends and 3/4” in the center would be specified as 1” x 1” x 3/4”.

Depending on customer requirements, we manufacture and supply both straight tees and reducing tees in various grades including SS 202, SS 304/304L, SS 316/316L, SS 904L, Duplex 2205, Alloy 20, Cupro Nickel, Monel Alloy 400, Inconel Alloy 600/625, Hastelloy C276, and other aluminum grades.

Our tees can be provided with ends prepared for butt welding, threading (usually female), or socket welding. When the ends differ in size, the fitting is called a reducing tee.
